The International Committee of the Red Cross is a neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian organization that works to protect and assist people affected by armed conflict and violence. The ICRC has been working in the Philippines for more than 50 years. It carries out a range of activities to meet the needs of displaced and other vulnerable people, promote respect for international humanitarian law, and respond to emergencies, often in cooperation with its local partner, the Philippine Red Cross.




The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in the Philippines is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy for:





ACCOUNTANT based in Davao City

Main Tasks:
· Works mainly in general accounting and finance
· Assists in the management of finance
· Handles payments of invoices and check payments on day-to-day
transactions
· Prepares checks, withdrawals, fund transfers (internal/external), deposits,
drafts requests
· Checks documents of mission advances for settlement
· Checks daily cash control
· Prepares bank reconciliation
· Performs the monthly closing and the demand of allocations
· Prepares billing of monthly vehicle use, telephone charges, etc.
· Enters cash and bank transactions in the accounting applications and printing
of accounting vouchers of other offices
 
Minimum Required Profile:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting
· Computer literate with good knowledge of computer software
· Fluent in both written and spoken English
· Minimum 2 years work experience in a similar field
· Computer literate, good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
· Knowledge in the use of any accounting software is an advantage
