A group of childhood friends were looking for an opportunity and venue to work and play together. They have gone to the same school, the same extracurricular activities… the same gimmicks. So, in their late twenties, it was natural for them to continue the camaraderie in different avenues.

In early 1996, Ferwin, Jake and Mike, together with Nic, a new friend, established an internet cafe in R. Papa, Manila. The company was registered as InfoworX Incorporated. The business provided funds flow and at the same time a reason to get together more often and bond through drinks and cards.

A year later, business got more serious, and opportunities came in when clients started to purchase computer units instead of renting them. Since many of the clients being serviced were in Makati, the company moved its office to Makati City, and realigned its business objectives to retail sales.

Nic left a few years afterwards for other opportunities, but the three friends continued on. Jake and Ferwin were 24/7 right from the onset while Mike, who was still employed until 2002, finally went full time and took over finance and admin operations.

Soon, they established several more companies / stores. Dataworx, Digiworx, PCworx, and several more companies were established. A service company, originally called WX Dynamic Services but then re-launched as Action Labs IT Services went into operations as well. Collectively, they are now called the WorX Group of Companies.
