Davao Home-based Job: Mandarin Transcriber (Fluent Speaker)

Position Summary: Fluent speakers of Mandarin required for Transcription

Key Responsibilities:

Appen Butler Hill is looking for fluent speakers of Mandarin for a transcription project. The work will involve listening to audio recordings of PRC Mandarin speech and typing on computer in Mandarin what is said, or fixing the given original Mandarin text to match the audio.

Project Information:

This is for a project for approximately two months. Please register now at http://appenonline.appen.com.au/ and take the PRC Mandarin spelling test.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be a fluent in PRC Mandarin
• Able to type Simplified Chinese Characters using an appropriate input method
• Competent computer skills
• Good level of English proficiency

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Degree in Linguistics or other areas of Language study an advantage
• Good knowledge of Chinese social media content and popular culture references.
