Davao Light is the third largest privately-owned electric distribution utility in the country in terms of customers and annual kilowatt-hour (kWh) sales.

With a franchise covering Davao City and Davao del Norte areas of Panabo City and the Municipalities of Carmen, Dujali and Santo Tomas, Davao Light services a population of approximately 1,777,926 and a total area of 3,561 square kilometers.

Davao Light has 331, 998 customers as of December 2014, with 23 distribution substations and 2 sub-transmission substations strategically located throughout its franchise. On hot standby is its 54.8 MW Bunker C-fired standby plant with a rated capacity of 58.7 MW, but can provide an average of 40 MW on a sustaining basis. The standby plant is capable of supplying 19% (should this one be changed to 12% - 40MW/344MW) of Davao Light's electricity requirement.

As of December 2014, Davao Light hit a cumulative 1,981,258 MWh in energy sales posting a 10-year compounded annual growth rate of 4.74%. Meanwhile, peak demand was recorded at 344 MW higher than last year's 324 MW.

As the company's customer base breached the 300,000 level last August 2012, its compounded annual growth rate was 3.84% over a 10 year period.

One of Davao Light’s approaches to keep rates at reasonable levels is by maintaining its systems losses well within the government mandated cap of 8.5%. The 12-month average system loss as of December 2014 is 5.66%.

Lineman

• Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering, BS Electronics and Communications Engineering, BS Industrial Technology major in Electricity or any 4 year electricity  related course
• At least 5'5 and above in height
• With working knowledge in Windows & MS Office/Open Office Applications
• Willing to undergo Intensive Physical Training
• Willing to be assigned in areas outside Davao City
• Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
• Preferably with Driver's License

Engineer

• Must be a Registered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
• Must have a professional driver's license and can drive motorbike 
• With working knowledge in Windows & MS Office/Open Office Applications

Inspectors

• Must be a graduate of any 4 year business or electrical related course
• Must have a professional driver's license and can drive a motorbike
• With working knowledge in Windows & MS Office/Open Office Applications
