In the past, the Philippines was known as a top exporter of premium coffee beans. Unfortunately, in the past decades the Philippines has lost on third (approximately 80,000 hectares) of its coffee farms because of the lack of government support and programs to help the dying coffee industry.
In response to this growing concern, the Philippine Government through the National Coffee Development Board has been implementing a program to revitalize the Philippine coffee industry to fullfill a national mission to bring back the old glory and world renowned status of the Philippines as a major source of premium high grade coffee. This was the inspiration for the establishment of OUR FATHERS COFFEE (OFC) Inc. in September 2003.
