Habitat for Humanity Philippines needs Project Site Engineer for Davao
JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees and manages the daily activities in the actual build which include managing build activities (either with implementing partners, contractors or direct workers), work schedules of workers and inventory of materials in the warehouse.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops work plan or work schedule for implementing partners, contractors or direct workers, as the case may be, to support the timeframe of actual build and achieve target of completion. Monitors attendance of direct workers for payroll.
- Generates work accomplishment reports consolidating accomplishment percentage of build, budget vs. Cost, cost to date (weekly and monthly for payroll purposes) and estimate of materials and labor cost based on plan.
- Monitors actual construction or build by checking on quality and speed as planned.
May monitor materials and inventory in warehouse and review inventory reports (weekly and monthly). - Prepares updated reports to management on existing projects and attends update meetings with the project partners such as LGUs, government agencies, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction, engineering, architecture or related field is preferred
- Must have at least 2 years solid experience in project management of house construction;
- with experience in disaster response and mitigation, preferably in an NGO setting
- With Supervision skills, knowledge of construction methods, networking abilities
- • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and Internet
- • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Filipino
- Preferably a resident of Davao City
- Willing to go on frequent travels
