The International Committee of the Red Cross is in need of a Medical Field Officer



- One, Male or Female
- To be based in Davao City

Function description:

• Possess administrative / management skills to provide effective technical and operational support to ICRC health projects/programmes in all aspects of programme budgeting, implementation, monitoring and related activities
• Liaison , negotiation and lobbying skills with LGU representatives, health authorities and external partners as appropriate for the purpose of facilitating various technical processes leading to successful health programme planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting
• Develops mechanisms that can effectively monitor progress of ICRC health projects/programmes, and contribute to reporting
• Perform other related duties as required

Minimum required knowledge and experience:

• University degree or equivalent in health sector, preferably with post graduate qualification in public health .Medical doctor will be an asset.
• 4 years work experience in health field
• Very good knowledge of public health, local health services, staff and health system.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Tagalog and Cebuano (Any other local dialect is also an advantage)
• Team leadership skills
• Good communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Prior ICRC or international working experience will be an asset
